Encouraging creativity in the workspace.
We draw upon 37 years of improvisational experience to bring applied improvisation to the corporate setting. Successful improvisers utilize the same skills as those required for effective business leadership and meaningful customer relationships; hyper active listening, flexibility, trust, and enthusiasm. G.I.T. trainers use workshop participants to improvise and create the material highlighted during the presentation. The workshop is lively, and driven by anecdotal stories to create humor and long lasting impressions. We will use volunteers to perform fun improv games that will be helpful in exemplifying different talking points for our presentation. Workshop attendees will benefit from better communication techniques with internal/external customers, enhanced creativity, and a new perspective leading to a better sense of satisfaction at work.
Your workshop leaders from G.I.T. Improv head up an organization known as ComedySportz Q.C. Ltd. We are one of 28 cities that have a ComedySportz franchise. We have won five national improv titles (1997,1998, 2007, and 2015) and all while operating out of the second smallest market of the 25 cities involved. Our talent pool, tourism, and resource base is small and we have done "big" things by applying our "on stage" skills to our corporate interactions. ComedySportz Q.C. Ltd., was chosen as Small Business of the Year by the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce in 2012.
We are large proponents of breaking the mold, and stepping out side of the doldrums of day to day activities that dull our creativity and passion for our professions. Our goal is to inform workshop attendees of communication pitfalls that commonly occur in a team setting. We also want to highlight behaviors that stifle creativity, and alter the perception that we are limited in what we can accomplish.
